This event on Friday, June 22 is our "Professional Day," and is open to agency professionals including biologists, foresters, range specialists, and land managers from public agencies and private entities. We want to share the research that the Starkey Project is producing, as well as generate conservations and ideas for future research topics that will meet land manager's needs. We will offer continuing education credits from The Wildlife Society (8 hours), the Society of American Foresters (7 hours), and the Society for Range Management (5 hours). All travel in the field is provided, and lunch and dinner are on us!
Emerging Environmental Issues and the Role of Wildlife Science
February 8-10, 2012
Salishan Resort, Oregon Coast
This year's meeting was a great success! This year's award winners (TWS-OR Awards, Scholarship Awards, Presentation Awards, Photo Contest) are now posted on the 2012 Annual Meeting page.
The Oregon Chapter is hosting the TWS National Meeting in Portland in October, 2012
The visual concepts for the TWS logo I designed was created to combine simplified imagery of Portland, Oregon’s city skyline along with graphic representation of Mt. Hood, the Willamette River, and of the natural landscape and habitat that not only surrounds this unique city, but is also within this city. Integrated into this background is a few of the many animal/bird species found nearby.
