CONGRATULATIONS!!!
The WCTWS received the 2009 TWS Chapter of the Year Award! The award recognizes exceptional achievements by a Chapter during the previous year. Scott Walter and Karl Martin accepted the award on behalf of the Chapter at the TWS Conference in Monterey, CA - September 20-24. Click here for more information.
John Olson, WCTWS member and WDNR Furbearer Biologist, received the Jim McDonough Award from TWS at the annual conference in Montery, CA in September. The award recognizes Certified Wildlife Biologists who have made significant contributions to the wildlife profession through the development of new techniques, approaches or program implementation. Congratulations John!
Wisconsin to host the 2013 TWS Annual Conference! In September 2009, TWS Council unanimously approved Wisconsin as the host of the 2013 Annual Conference to be held in Milwaukee. Arrangements Committee Co-Chairs will be Karl Martin (WDNR), Jamie Nack (UW-Madison), and Scott Walter (UW-Richland). It will be a couple of years before the work begins, but the WCTWS is excited about this great opportunity.

The 2010 Winter Meeting is being planned for March 4-5th with a welcome reception on the evening of March 3rd. The meeting will be held at the Stoney Creek Inn in Wausau. The theme will be "Biofuels and their Impacts on Wildlife". Click here for more details.
