The Montana Chapter of The Wildlife Society is a professional association of wildlife biologists. We have watched outdoor recreational pursuits of all kinds boom in recent years. We believe the expansion of these activities is causing adverse impacts to wildlife resources on public lands and waterways. We have compiled and reviewed over 1,300 scientific studies. From this review, we have produced three documents:
Effects of Recreation on Rocky Mountain Wildlife: A Review for Montana(Full Report)
Effects of Recreation on Rocky Mountain Wildlife: Summary of the September 1999 Review for Montana(Brochure)
Effects of Recreation on Rocky Mountain Wildlife: Online Bibliography(Bibliography Database)
The Montana Chapter of the Wildlife Society will strive to keep this bibliography and report current so that they may continue to be valuable sources of information that promote responsible management of recreation in wildlife habitat. Cooperation and support from natural resource agencies and organizations will be gratefully accepted.
