Travel
Conference attendees may obtain special travel discounts from the following companies.
American Airlines Discounted tickets may be purchased at www.AA.com or by calling (800) 433-1790 and referring to Discount Code A42N8AL. Attendees receive a 5% discount off the lowest applicable published air fare. The 5% discount applies to flights booked to Miami, Ft. Lauderdale or West Palm Beach, and includes flights booked between Nov. 5-15, 2008. A separate ticketing charge of $15 will apply for tickets purchased via the phone or $20 for tickets purchased at the airport. There is no ticketing fee for purchases made online. American Airlines also offers discounted car rentals through their partnership with Avis.

Transportation from Miami International Airport and Parking For those who arrive by air, the downtown conference location is an approximately 15-25 minute drive from Miami International Airport, depending on traffic.
A taxi from the airport to downtown will cost about $14 for a single passenger. Supershuttle services the Miami International Airport both by reservation and “on demand” (for on-demand service, please proceed out to the curb at ground level). Reservations may be made by calling (305) 871-2000. Shuttle service is $15 per passenger.
For those who rent a vehicle or drive to Miami, all hotel parking is at the Bank of America Parking Garage, located immediately beside Hyatt Regency Miami. Self-parking is $12.25 per night, and valet parking is $27.00 per night. Hotel guests must present their parking ticket to a front desk agent for validation. This will allow the guest to redeem the discounted rate once they return to the parking garage. Additional parking is located nearby for larger trucks and vans. Please see a front desk agent or valet attendant for further information once on-site.
Florida in November, what could be better! Expect temperatures of 70 and up during your trip to Miami. November is a beautiful month in South Florida, but it will undoubtedly be humid, with a chance of rain. With the exception of the farewell dinner, all conference functions will be indoors at the Hyatt Regency Miami, where we have requested set temperatures for our meeting rooms, in an effort to conserve energy.
The farewell dinner will be entirely outdoors, so you’ll want to pack a windbreaker or light jacket so that you can comfortably enjoy the coastal breezes. Pack accordingly for the field trips and outdoor exploring you plan to do while in Miami. Don’t forget to bring your sunscreen, hats and sunglasses, and for those of you planning to explore the spectacular nightlife Miami has to offer, feel free to bring your dancing shoes, too!
