Conference attendees are invited to submit their 8" x 10" photos with black or white 11" x 14" matting on Saturday afternoon or all day Sunday.
Along with the print, please bring an electronic version (jpeg format, min. 300 dpi), on a memory stick or CD to facilitate possible future publication of winning photos.
Entries will be displayed Monday through Tuesday in the Miami Convention Center.
Categories for this year’s entries are:
Flora (Stuff that Photosynthesizes)
Mammals (Warm and Fuzzy)
Birds (Feathers and Beaks)
Fish, Amphibians, Reptiles, and Invertebrates (Slimy and Scaly)

Photos of both wild and captive/propagated species will be accepted in all categories. We encourage images with some connection to the conservation of biota in any appropriate category.
Professional photographers will judge entries, provide critiques of winning photographs, and present awards on Tuesday evening. Prizes will be awarded by category, plus Best of Show. This year’s photography contest will include a special presentation from renowned Southwest Florida photographer and author Clyde Butcher. Don’t miss it!
There also will be Peoples’ Choice awards for each category. So whether you’ve entered the contest or not, please be sure to vote before noon on Tuesday!
Winning photos may be used in a TWS publication. Contestants are limited to two submissions per category (14 photos max).
There is an entry fee of $5 per photo ($3 for students), or $4 per photo ($2 for students) for five or more entries.
