Encourage membership in TWS to wildlife professionals interested in wildlife management outside their home country.
Make recommendations to TWS Council for specific actions by TWS in the area of wildlife management policies affecting wildlife resources.
Draft technical reviews, position statements, and other materials in the area of international wildlife management for consideration by TWS Council.
Provide information and technical assistance to TWS members in the area of international cooperation in wildlife management.
Goals - Consistent with the goals of TWS, the IWMWG has the following goals
Facilitate communication and the exchange of information among members of TWS interested in the management of wildlife outside their country of residence.
Enhance knowledge and technical capabilities of wildlife professionals in the area of wildlife management.
Provide a forum and an opportunity for the exchange of wildlife management information worldwide, both technical information, and information regarding opportunities for participating in wildlife management projects throughout the world. It also provides a means for students and professionals to seek assistance from TWS members with appropriate expertise.
Improve communications among wildlife management professionals and students around the world.
Serve as a clearinghouse to match wildlife professionals with long and short-term international assignments in wildlife management.
Reach internationally to offer the expertise of TWS.
